Thread: Which Staun Deflators?

Simple answer....dont get any. Get a ARB ezy deflator instead. I have both and find that the stauns always go out of setting. The Exy deflator is sooo much quicker too! Only thing is that you have to bend over more...

I've got a set and have 2 set at 20psi and two at 25psi. So either would suit.

I'd be more inclined to get the 6-33psi (I think I have these. The original ones) since I only pump my tyres up to 38psi anyway.

I've had them about 5 years and only reset the pressure once.

no problem with my staun.....i didn't even know there were two types, i to have two set around 18psi for the fronts and the other two at 25psi for the rears

the last time i camped up at inskip point i stopped before driving into the camping areas and fitted the staun's and started driving with them screwed on......had two bloles who were at the first campsite start running after me yelling out that i had a hole in my tyre.......they had a good laugh when i stopped and they notice he staun's still connected

Now dont start THAT arguement again!!

you will answer your own question by knowing the presure you want to run ! in 90% of aplications the standards will be spot on as the range of settings are most likely where you will need them to be set. If you get the 15-55 H/D then with normal 4wd weights you they wont be as usefull (off road presures would be recomended somwhere between 15-22psi depending on weight). Ultamatly the 15-55psi untis are designed for motor homes, trucks or 4wd's running very heavy weights !

I have 2 sets as I run 2 sets of tyres, One set with normal mud tyres for every day touring and driving that are pre-set to 18 (standards) and I have a set of Comp (light duty) ones that are set on 4psi for my comp /play tyres.

Not quite : Oasis deflators Pioneered the market, made in america and always been available in Aus, com in a set of 4 with a pencil type gauge with them, still regarded to be a more acurate deflator but at $120ish a bit on the pricey side !
