    It's official - my 3 seater Defender

It's official, I went down the shop at lunchtime and got the mod plate for my Defender - she's now officially a 3 seater.

I took the 60 side of the 60-40 seat out because

    A) nobody could sit in it anyway because of my auto console and how far I have my seat back
I have a thumping great big air compressor I intend to install there

So now that's done and official I've got a good set of the 60-side seat to flog, complete with G4 Trakker cover from exmoor trim

Sorry mate If I could get hold of Black metal air vents for the top of the wings then you could have my old plastic ones, but I dunno where to source the black metal ones locally yet and MR are still awaiting their stock to arrive

The compressor is one of these ones BOSS Air Compressor Toyota Landcruiser 70 75 79 80 100 - eBay 4x4 Accessories, Exterior, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 26-Feb-08 11:16:01 AEDST)

It's a big buggar that I'll hook up to a scuba tank then run some air lines to the back of the vehicle so I can pump up my tyres really really quick

I'll have to add it to the list of things to install I gave the auto-sparkie last week He's gonna be a busy boy

No engineers cert., just took it to the compliance place and they signed it off - $80. I asked about seatbelts etc. and was told it didn't matter. All I did was unbolt the 60-side from it's retaining mounts and take it out. I'll take them all out to tidy it up though.

You never know, could mean the difference between life and death

Could also use it to help other people air up their tyres, inflate polyairs, run air-tools, the list goes on....

Insurance reasons.. legal reasons - you aren't allowed to take out a seat except "temporarily". Once I bolt the compressor to the floor it's gonna be hard to explain how "temporary" the seat was going to be out for

I dunno about rego, probably not.. will let you know when it comes up

Hey Grizzly I have that exact compressor in the back of my disco there a piece of p__s to install and I have mine hooked up to a 20L tank thats fitted under the car.

They are load so you may want to install in a box with sound deading material and also install a cooling fan.
