4WD Fiction Magazine

I agree about the subs - I've renewed a couple of times for the "free offer". I haven't read the mags yet and I've had them for a couple of years. Once upon a time, I'd read them immediately.

I stopped buying the British mags a long time ago, too. I've got a number that came with a sub from a few years back and I haven't read them, either. Not enough P38A coverage. I got the sub as an LR Expo deal through Patrick Sutcliffe.

I haven't bought an Overlander in many years. After that, I used to get them from the library but I haven't done that recently, either.

Unfortunately I don't believe that there is such a thing anymore as unbiased magazines. They will never bag a product from a company that supports them financially by giving them money or freebies. I subscribe to the Mag in question and too am a little disappointed in it's content or lack of it. It has a hell of a support base but then again what magazine wouldn't when you can subscribe and get freebies like the Staun Tyre Deflators with it. I would subscribe again as long as the freebie was worth it as you do get some good unbiased articles (not to many) occasionally.
But in reality who cares if Glenn and his crew bag the crap out of Land Rovers, I certainly don't. If we took any notice of Land Rover baggers you wouldn't buy one because there are so many out there. They only bag them because they just don't get it!!

Am I wrong in suggesting that it's only LR drivers that seem to wear apparel showing the logo of the marque? It's quite common to see us wearing LR-branded clothes, shoes, etc. - and I don't mean just club logos.

Yes, I have LR shirts and boots.

I never see that with Toyota or Nissan, et al, drivers. (Speaking of club logos, the Mitsu owners club aren't allowed to use the Mitsu three diamonds - they have reduced it to just one.)

4X4 Australia mag has a good artical on the Defender v 76 series Cruiser, i found it a very good read.

Baz who actually wins let me guess the 76 series naturally I havent read the mag this is a toyota country wether we like it or not when I say toyota country I dont mean by terrian by ownership Joe Blow tends to by toyota for its resale value and releabilty but if you ask us there crazzzzzy for buying a 76 series with no ABS or airbags in 2008 christ a 14k car has air bags today

As for 4wd Action take the mag as it is, as express publication is about the money advertising dollars and nothing more. I get as its a form of off road viewing for when I cant get out, it kills times and you have a laugh

they know that car comprisent isnt fair there was a huge bagging on the site some weeks ago here have a look

I was under the impression that magazines are there to make money. Land Rover's isn't there, Toyota's is.

I recon if we paid him enough money Glenno would lie down with a stranger just like any other cheap whore.

And don't be fooled the last time I bought a pommy mag there was 15 pages of articles and 200 odd pages of ad's.

So whats the difference?

4X4 Aus is a better mag IMHO but still biased in some ways.

If someone waved a big wad of cash in your face, i'd say you'd sell out to. I would.
