If any of you have changed your mind please let me know ASAP. Otherwise, please get your forms and 3kg satchels to me. In a week or so I will be setting a cutoff date, and those who were too slow will be replaced by people on the reserve list.

I checked the filter in mine yesterday when I was pulling the Disco apart to do the timing belt (which ended up being a complete stuff up) and it is deffinatly working.

When fitted the filter was stark white, now it has a grey tinge to it and it smelt like sump oil but there was nothing in the bottom so the drain is also working so Im happy.

I'll leave it alone until it's ready for service now and see how black it gets.

I've got no residues in my inlet hose at all (but I've only driven 70 km). Maybe I have a magical Tdi with no blowby. I'm guessing it'll take at least 5,000 km to become "wettened" with oil.

I've decided not to touch the housing or filter until the test is over!!

also ** forgot to add - I had to change a length of hose for something of better quality - the heat off the turbo deformed the clear tubing. So bewared anyone running near the turbo!!!

That is the best idea. I would appreciate it if everyone can do this, as it would mean the results are as consistent as possible.

    Hi isuzurover,
I don't know if you are aware, but p38arover is in hospital & probably won't be able to respond for a while.

    Best Wishes,
