Angry geeeezzzz what next alcohol free Aust!!!!!

    Girls & Guys

I was at the liqour barn with my 20yo. She happened to have wine in her hand as she picked it up for me and I had one.
I was refused service as she had no photo ID (as she was not buying anything).

So I said I would only buy the one I had and was still refused service and was told how did they know I was not buying it for her.

THIS IS THE LAW they said.

I have just been all over N.T. & W.A. with all their restrictions and have never had this problem.

When I was in Derby last year, I noticed a sign at the Woolworths liquor shop which stated that alcohol wouldn't be sold after 7pm to anyone who hadn't driven to the store.

that seems even stupider. "if you want to buy/consume alcohol, you must be driving a motor vehicle..."

I think they're hoping the purchasers will take their drinks and go away.

When I was in Florida, I was carded buying beer in the supermarket. I was 26 or 28 at the time, but probably the youngest customer in the entire supermarket.

    Cheers

I can understand your predicament, the fines are doubling in Victoria for serving to the underage and supplying liquor to an underage by a 3rd party...no ID, no service. The fine is approx $12K

    hey
In Mt Isa you can buy a 4ltr cask for $10.00 and "they" take it over the border and sell it for $100.00 so therefore you can not but wine before 12miday. I guess that discourages anyone cous it will be too late to get back home to drink yourself........MAYBE......
