Thread: Can't sleep

Go down to Chemist or Supermarket and get some Blackmores Valerian Forte - natural product - one of those will knock you out for a good four 4-6 hrs no probs

I have one of those s-shaped posture pillows but can't remember the brand.

Neck pain - might not just be the pillow - could be the mattress as well.

Mick, I have one of those Posture curved pillows, high at the front, curve down in the middle and rise up again at the back, designed to cradle your head and straighten your neck into alignment with your backbone, very comfortable. Mine is a Tempur brand and it cost over $200, expensive, but it works, it's made of that rubber/sponge that forms to your shape.
2 Problems though, very expensive and in Winter they go as hard as a slab of concrete and are cold to touch. I put mine under the covers (before i go to bed) so as it will not get cold, as long as it is warm it is great, I had a whiplash injury to my neck years ago and it certainly helps with the pain, good luck, Regards Frank.

i have one of them contour pillows as well........
but not that expensive though
works a treat

I have one similar to that described by Frank, but not that expensive. Was first prescribed by a physio after they found that I get arthritis in the neck.

Best thing I ever bought - most good physio's will sell you one.

Oooh don't say that, he once asked me if I need a box of kleenex , been trying to find the thread .

As for the sleep issue, I recommend a Womans Day, Womens Weekly and maybe New Idea for some idea's.....but seriously.....have used Valarian before as my mind can race. I also get difficulty if I fall asleep on the lounge or have a cat nap....then try and go to sleep in bed can be a bugger. I have a nice rubber pillow....goes with my uniform and other gear ......jussstttt kidding......but pillow is very comfy,
