How nice to see all my observations on Perth drivers have been seen to be true by a visitor from the East.
You're spot on about reversing Ron, the Cook and I are the only ones in our street who reverse into our driveway, the others just tear out without looking for kids, cars or path users.
Same at work and I've been asked why I reverse into a spot, and my answer is always "Because I can" which leaves them a bit bemused until they work it out.
Many years ago and I think it was NSW country town, they had reverse angle parking which I thought was the way to go for the incompetent, as it wouldn't be too hard for them, but I suppose over here it would cause chaos as they tried to go in frontwards!
