    G'day Ron,

It might be interesting to go along the Tin Horse Highway. From memory you go thru Wickepin and Kulin. Lots of interesting sculptures made from farm gear done by farmers along the highway.

I don't remember the exact route. Just ask a local and look out for the signs.

Corrigin ... Fuel up ... Don't eat the food
Lake Grace ... Don't eat the food
Ravensthorpe ... Don't eat the food

    Drive to Lake King
Fuel up at the local Co-op store // Food is safe to eat

Go the Cascades road .... better than the bitumen

Don't blame me if you get lost
Remember that all servos are closed at 8pm .... Lake King closed Sunday and 5pm's .... And Don't eat the food

We didn't eat along the way but we are currently eating the food at Taylor St Jetty Restaurant in Esperance.

re fuel, we fuelled up at Hyden Liberty and the fuel consumption from there to Lake King was atrocious. I stopped to see if I had a punctured fuel tank or fractured fuel line - I could see the fuel gauge dropping as I drove along. It must have been crap fuel. I wouldn't buy there again.

If anyone wants to meet up later my mobile is 0408 483 269

Food is good at the cafe in Lake Grace.
Taylor St Tea Rooms is fairly good.
Hope you enjoy Esperance. If you have time dart out to Lucky Bay to see a nice beach.
    Where are you staying?
Unfortuanately I am now back on site until the 18th March. Shame you were not in town 48hrs earlier.
    Cheers

Hi Craig, i noticed a couple of mines on the way in.

Sorry we couldn't meet. We are here for 4 days but that's not long enough.

Gawd, this place is full of 4WDs towing caravans and campers and there's a lot of RVs as well.

Yeah its a popular spot for the grey nomads and cashed up yuppies. We live in Castletown at the moment, one street back from the Quays and not far from the caravan park, so see lots of expensive buses and rigs.
Have a great time while you are in town.
The tourist loop is a nice drive. Dunns Rock / Beach is a nice spot (well kept secret) as is Lucky Bay and The Duke Of Orleans Bay. All of these are more than accessible in your Forester.
    Cheers

You are 2 blocks away from my Mum ... She lives in Taylor st

You need to steal a 4WD and "drive along the beach to Cape Le Grand" ... starting off at Bandy Creek Harbour .... Can't believe you took a Forrester ... All those sand dunes & Beaches

The beach is currently like a highway from Wylie Bay to Cape Le Grand, so the Forrester would do it easy, though I would maybe want another car with me.
Was chopped up quite bad 8 months ago, but is pretty flat and hard most of the way with a couple of minor soft spots.
Shame probablly soon to be my former home.

Suby will go further than you think Mike!

I've had mine to Butty's and all the way to the Baxter Cliffs.

Mind you she chewed through the fuel at an astonomical rate!
