    you might also want to make up an adaptor to suit the top of your jack, get a look at one of the read D1/D2 bottle jacks and you'll see what I mean.

    Ya just cant beat a good hydraulic jack for a rover and a a jackall as well
    As for the tyres id give the maxxis a go i have the buck shots and love em and ive only heard good things about the bighorns il be going a set in the near future on d1 rims on the rangie

    Check load rating of Discovery wheel

    Hello,

    Before I fitted a discovery wheel to a defender I would check the rated load carrying capacity of the Disco wheel.

    It might just be less than you need for a serious Defender user. You are going up in tyre load capacity, whats the wheel doing.

    quite a few people get caught out here.......

    simple solution is to lay the spare flat and drive up onto it......
    then you can fit the jack underneath........and get the job done.......
