Very sad - goodbye to more than just a dog

Had to say goodbye to my beautiful old Bundy this morning. After living with diabetes for a couple of years and battling cancer (but had a happy year and a half more than expected) it was finally time.

She started having seizures this morning and after rushing to the vet, he said it was probably a lesion in her brain. It was time to say goodbye - asking her to stay would have been about me, not her. And I couldn't do that, she's been too good a friend to me through thick and thin. He got ready as quickly as he could and the needle went in as she lapsed into the 5th seizure.

    I miss her.

    Bundy 1994-2008

    See you Bunz.

Oh thats suck mate...my condolences. Just remember all the good times, when she was a puppy and when she mucked up. We are lucky to have them in our lives and it is terrible when they have to leave, but we are better for it.

Terrible news. We've got the same thing in front of us in the next year or so with our old girl. Not looking forward to that day whatsoever.

I feel your for loss but sadly it's the way of all life. You are a very selfless man for putting Bundy before yourself and taking the tough option.
    My thoughts are with you,
    Anthony.
