disco 1, v8 getting a little to hot
went up duck creek rd today. and found that the disco temp was right up at top of temp gauge.
i assume this isnt normal i actually had to pull over as it was nearing the red.
can i run a extra fan or somthing to stop it getting so hot. ive heard from another bloke that its possible
its had a recent rad fluch with new coolant etc etc. and i know the twin fans are kicking in but it's not cooling quick enough,
any 1 got some ideas>? thanks

I would say that you have an airlock in the system, especially since you mention that you have had a radiator flush.
Bleed the system and see how it goes, I wouldn't look at extra fans at this stage until you have ruled out the cooling system.
Edit : Apparently the gauges do show high temp if they are faulty, but I would still check the system for airlocks first.
Edit Edit : Forgot to mention as well that because these engines are ally, they have liners in them. If the engine gets too hot a liner can slip, which is bad. If it's getting that hot turn the engine off before it's too late
