    Graeme Cooper's sold?

I've heard a rumour that Graeme Cooper has sold his business to a New Zealander.

    Can anyone confirm this?

    Old news now!

Rang Graeme on Friday 2 weeks ago to find out the goss, unfortunately Graeme wasn't in as he now only works Monday through Thursday.

Anyway it was just before 8.00am and asked the guy on the phone if the rumour was true and what it meant for us customers. The reply was prompt, there shouldn't be any noticable difference, same mechanics and other staff and same prices. It was then that I noticed the Kiwi lilt, yes it was the new owner. Sounds like a nice guy. Nice enough for me to continue going there, at least until I don't like the service or something untoward like price hikes.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

I wonder if there will be a name change - or a new slogan?

Why would you change a name that has so much 'goodwill' attached to it?

Because Graeme doesn't own it anymore.

I guess it'd be a bit like Rangie Spares changing to Les Richmond Automotive. Everybody still knows and loves it as Rangie Spares, it just has a different name.

Although I spoke to Graeme a few weeks ago, I am unaware of the terms of the sale but I don't think we'll see too many changes in the near future.

It does sound like the new owner is happy to be guided in maintaining a winning formula.

I have only experienced GC's work once. Must say I was VERY underwhelmed.
