    The procrastination stops!

The shed my IIA is stored in has been scheduled for demolition, and the old man informs me that there is no place for it in the new shed.

As I mentioned in another thread, a space has been cleared for it in Melbourne. It won't fit with the roof on, so that's coming off to be stored separately and its coming home to have its brakes fixed, and a RWC inspection so I know where to start!

BOXING DAY is the official start day

What are the legalities of driving without the roof on? According to VSI 21 it doesn't need seatbelts for RWC if built before 1/1/69 (its a 1966)

I'm starting to feel a bit of optimism with this vehicle at long last.

The only legal question about driving without the roof is the upper seatbelt mount - and as you comment, it is old enough not to need them. However, depending on age, it may actually have upper mounts on the body capping across the bulkhead behind the seats. These are a bit low, but better than not having belts.

    Thanks JD

I noticed your other reply in the Series II section. There could be quite a few big problems, on account of having a 161 engine.

I don't want to get ahead of myself, so I'll wait till its in Melbourne, and determine whether to fight the battle to get an Approval Certificate, or advertise it in the markets.
