Hardly Gav, but Welbike made Para's Bikes in WW2 1.5bhp 98cc but then you wouldn't want to shred your rear tyre when you gave it the herbs or do situps/wheelies.A mature student at school used to ride one to class.
He will if he drives a Land Rover.![]()

Taken a while but my shed is now complete. Really happy with finally having a hoist, life is so much easier now!
Next is to finish off the backyard....

Where are people buying, er, "economical" sheds these days. Best sheds has 12 x 12 x 4.2 sheds for $14,000 listed on there website. My brother is lookiing at putting up a cheap shed in the paddock down here.... I reckon 12 x 12 is a little small. 20 x 12 would probably be better for his use ( caravan sales and repair ). Does anyone else have suggestions on where to buy price friendlly shed kits

Probably not the cheapest, but probably pretty competitive are JH Stephenson in Geelong, ask for Brad.
My shed was a custom design, 12 x 11 with a mezzanine 9 x 6, nearly 6m at the gable, about 13k from memory.
All the beams, brackets, etc are just the best and you really appreciate it every time you look at it.
I've seen other brands of similar sized sheds that cost about the same but seemed to skimp on the size of everything.
Is he going to put it up himself?

Not sure ... I'm just trying to work out costs. He's been paying about $20k a year to rent a shed for the last few years. But if he puts up a shed down here I'd have to make sure boss women is ok with that .... even though we probably won't see it if its in the paddock beside the house. I'm just trying to work out if ts feasible. Because the shed is on my land, obviously I will be the owner of it regardless of who pays for it.

About all you can do is shop around the shed companies. Make sure you compare apples with apples. Shed companies have a bit of a habit of adding/deleting/changing details making it difficult to compare their quote with others and get everything in writing.
Lysaght (Colourbond) have trademarked colours, so anyone that uses other (or the older) names for their colour range, then it is more than likely NOT Australian product.
Obviously size has a lot to do with cost and usually the most expensive change is span. A 12 wide X 20 long shed would be cheaper than a 20 wide X 12 long for example.
good luck
