    A comment on car style

Nissan above virtually all others had a massive opportunity to lead the way in style. In the mid 90's they were pumping out the very dated GQ. At the time car styling was just about past the roundness era which mazda kicked off with amazing shapes like the mx6 and RX7 when all other cars were still 80's boxes. Nissan could then decide not to follow this craze but leaf frog it for what was to come next in the likes of the latest shape RR. Bold, flame edge, and in some cases well balanced. So armed with time on their side, emerging design other information they create - a decade old shape which looked boring from the word go. Sure the GU was stong and all that stuff people like nissans for, but the GU could have been built with all the GQ design cues straight into the new age, exactly like LR did with both RR models although more so with the latest one.

Now they have done it again, instead of jumping foward, they have built another land cruiser, bland, boring and we have already been seeing this car drive around for 5 years.

Nissan have well and truly stuffed it again.

Gawd you aren't kidding - it is very very similar to the LC200, but 2 years behind...

I love my GQ, and I like the GU aswell but that is hideous.

When I have enough money to buy a new 4WD, I won't. I'm going to buy an Isuzu County and spend the change on a ground up rebuild and upgrade. Looks better, works better and will last a lot longer.
