Remember, if it's totally out of refrigerant the leak needs to be fixed before it's re-charged.
Where it is and how long that takes.....
A Tdi or TD5 with the Oz fitted AMC system IIRC only take 750 grams or so of R134A.
Current list price of R134A is approx. $45.45 incl. GST
If one of the drop in blends is used, eg 34M, these are around $70.70/kg but are slightly more efficient and you use slightly less per charge.
HC refrigerants as imported by ERG use even less per charge (approx half a charge of R134A) and are more efficient again.
Don't let whoever is fixing it charge too much more than this per kg, as they are making a damned good profit at that.
