Talking of animals ... what are some of the amazing things your pets have done?

I woke up late, severely hung over one work day morning. I had a 5 yo German shepherd ex RAAF police dog. a very intelligent fella. I couldn't find a specific pair of sox for myself. I was really stressing and going off like a good sort, but never saying a specific word about the sox, when all of a sudden the dog comes into the room with the specific sox I was looking for. An amazing dog and an amazing friend.

You're right there. Shepherds are amazing animals. I can't tell you how much I miss mine. And yes, they are incredibly intelligent.

Whenever we have a barbecue, both the goats take it upon themselves to jump on the barbecue when it's cooking. So now, we have to have someone outside whilst cooking all the time, to stop them.

Had a similar episode. Our deaf cat (the white one) decided to jump on the kitchen where the dinner what cooking, & proceeded to eat out of the dinner cooking on the hotplate. (Would have thought it would be a bit hot for him, but no, didn't faze him.)

He also has a habit of drinking out of glasses. Won't drink out of the bowl. Woke up just in time at some god for saken hour, to hear him trying to knock the glass over in the ensuite bathroom. You've never seen me move so quick. Got to him just in time to divert a disaster. Didn't fancy cleaning broken glass from all over the bathroom floor at that hour in the morning. Needless to say, I now ensure he has a full glass of water in various places in the house... He loves creating havoc in the bathroom, & swipes everying onto the floor. Little bugger.

Yesderday, I heard this wierd noise, like the cats into mischief (one again at 4:00am). Walked into the kitchen and got the shock of my life. Ziggy (the cheeky goat) had made a large hole in the kitchen screen, and there he was with his head poked through, trying to get into the house. I promptly closed the window ... but reckon it's only a matter of time before he breaks the glass!

Our blind 'ratter', killed a coastal taipan in our front yard. She must have bumped into it and it's hissed at her the wrong way! Unreal, as she had broken it's neck right behind the head. We didn't know if the snake had gotten her but, so they both went to the vet pronto haste, and the dog was pronounced fine, but the snake was a 'gonner'.

    cheers

What an amazing dog! Needless to say, our deaf cat would be totally stuffed if it came across a snake!
