Looking for a Rover P5B Coupe

    Hi All,

A workmate has decided he'd like to get himself a classic car. He doesn't commute to work by car and is looking for something with a bit of style to cruise around in on weekends. He reckons a Rover P5B Coupe would be perfect.

It would need to be a V8 auto in very good condition with no modifications (except maybe little things like electronic ignition).

    Anyone got any leads?

    Cheers,
    Dave.

I used to own of of these, though mine was a saloon. There will be a Rover Car Club in each State and through them you will access owners wuth a spare one for sale.

One piece of advice is the right saloon is better and cheaper than the wrong coupe.

Good cars and not too expensive to run in the V8 classic context.

Jag Mk II 3.8 with overdrive would be my pick for this era.

The last of the Humber Super Snipes make a nice weekend cruiser. Wood and leather, decent brakes, plenty of room, and easy to repower with a Chrysler Hemi 6 as a replacement for the 3 litre boat anchor they were built with. The 4.3 litre Hemi is much more compact and quite a bit lighter than the Humber six. Easy 300 hp and six cylinder registration. They make over into a handsome and fast gentleman's carriage.
