Mate did a Buell track day at Donnington Park, some years ago,we couldn't use our bikes because of the noise restictions, so Buell let us loose on there demo fleet,I dropped a XB9 R at the old hairpin, wrote it off along with my helmet, leathers and gloves,Alpine stars kit really worked !
Out of 9 bikes only 2 were left unharmed when the day finished.
My bike was safe in the pits:angel:
I hit a dog one night, a few years back. Took the 'Wing from under me and I slid up the white line using my arse as a brake.:o:mad: Saved the jeans, jacket and lid. The jacket was safely stowed in the top box.:D:D
BTW, its harder to escape from an ambulance than a paddy wagon:confused:
How cool is this? I'm doing this from my phone:o
I worked in a shop for a while fixing the bloody things (as well as Ducs, trumpies and other european bikes.) I soon learned they were really badly engineered.:toilet:
Despite this "inside Knowledge", I eventually bought myself one many years later.:)
Soon wished I hadn't, cost an arm and a leg to insure, Parts cost about 10 times what they are worth, you can't park them anywhere without some idiot sitting on it.........
They don't stop, they don't go round corners, the chrome is absolute crap, and they weigh 100kg too much....... crappiest bike on the planet! (apart from them cheap chinese things they're selling now):2up:
Nice paint though....
I've got a trumpy 675 now, much better:arms:
