    Still Going Strong

    Still going strong.

This is my first go at getting pics onto a forum. It has only taken me about four years.

Yeah, but that is only kilometres.

My 1969 Toyota Crown did that many miles.

    1998 300 Tdi Defender Trayback 2006 - often fitted with a Trayon slide-on camper.

On current averages, when my Disco is 40 years old it will have 900,000 on the clock. I bet your Tojo hasn't done any where near the hard work my Disco has done.

I took a picture like that (300K) driving into Litchfield NP.

I was quite excited................. until the oil pressure light came on about 100 kms later.

The old girl decided not to pump oil anymore. I could hear a slight knock so off I walked to Wangi Falls campground to ring for help.

$2000+ and a week later I was back on the road with a new oil pump, big ends bearings etc

After driving all the way back to Bundaberg, the next day she starts spitting oil out from the filter. After trying another filter + oil it did it again the next day.

Long story short the mechanic had installed the oil pressure relief valve backwards......... after assuring me that excess oil pressure would NOT have anything to do with his workmanship!

Congrats on making the 300K.............. and stay away from Litchfield NP.
