I just wish they'd bring back other manufacturer's. Holden vs. Ford is just boring now

The old Gibson Motorsport Nissan team, now that's where it's at

Technically correct. It should really 24 19 as P Brock did not actually win it in 1987.

There was also another year when Brock needed three cars to win.
He had a three car team and when his broke down he kicked out the driver of his second car and when it broke he did the same again with the third car.
After this the rules were changed to stop it happening.

Wrong ! if you take Brock out of it the win would of went to Nissan making the result 24 18 . Ford that year didn't even finish in the top 10

And seeings that the rules did not state whether or not you can change drivers in cars technically Brock did win . Thats why the changed the rules !

    HOLDEN

    Hope
    Our
    Luck

    Now

GIVE BROCK THE ROCK!!! - A Holden fan wrecked Biggus Dickus's chance of winning that year.

    Go the Blue Oval

I love all the Brock fanatics. A lot of his wins were in cars that had bits that no one else had as his HDT mob only got them homologated for themselves. Really fair. I also loved the time he needed three cars to win.
He could drive but many times it was not a level playing field.

Anyway most of the bits on the two cars are interchangeable so there is no real race anymore.

Bring back Bob Holden and the twin cam Escort and the Camaros with no brakes that look good sliding down the mountain on their roofs.

And get rid of the safety car. Get the low loader up the mountain to pick up the wrecks. And get the women out of the race.

That will do I think I have offended just about everybody now. I am warming up the TV and the BBQ and cooling down the tinnies and can't wait for Sunday. Hope it rains with 50 laps to go!!!!!!!

So you want pictures of Holden at Bathurst do you?

But as this is a Land Rover forum I think this is more appropriate

In 1987 a Ford came first and second but were disqualified about three months later for having illegal wheel arches.

Brock came third, being quite a few laps down and was therefore declared the winner.

The winning Ford on the day was so far ahead it still would have won with legal wheel arches. It was on pole and led the race all day, beating the second Ford by two laps

No one even looked like challenging them.

I reckon it would be fun next week after Ford wins (again) on Sunday.
