    Lee Enfield Owners

So do we have ay Lee Enfield owners out there?

I have a No5 Mk1 thats as good as new and a No1 Mk111 that has been shortened 6 inches (fun gun). Have previously had other No1's , No 4's and 5's as well. Might start keeping what I have hey

I do need some bits tho and am looking for spare mags and a Bantam Butt Stock for the No1. Is there any one out there who collects bits and pieces ?

    Yes,
    I have a 1922 Lithgow 1 mk3*.
You won't get spare mags unless someone completely scraps a rifle. They were never used as a detachable box and were always loaded with stripper clips from the top of the receiver- as I'm sure you know.

It might be had to get the bantam stock. Lawrance Ordnance Militaria might be worth a call. They have long stocks. It might be worth getting one and cutting it down.

I have a few Lee Enfields, only one full wood, the others sporterised and quite a few bits and pieces, including a few butts. I will have a look over the weekend to see what lengths I have. What is bantam stock marked with?

Not anymore...used to carry one on the tram in Melbourne as a 14yr old school cadet on weekly "parade" days, bolt had to be kept separate...in your school bag ... bloody thing with a bayonet was about up to my shoulder... fired it a few times at Pukka on camps... can you imagine the RESPONSE if a 14 yr old boarded a bus/train/tram with one today life seemed a bit simpler then...

Sounds like a good idea if you want to post Lee Enfield photos that we can gawk at

I was given some Landy workshop manuals by a mate and when asked what do I owe you, he said 303 bits. I am not a gun person (or an anti gun person either), so it is a learning curve for me. Norm (my mate) is chasing ammo clips and furniture (particullarly front wood) for his restoration/collection. If anyone can help, it would be appreciated.
