In contrast I have fitted a roofrack and awning from Hannibal. Chose them because (in my opinion) they are better than ARB's. Their service made ARB look really sh*t.
Work really hard for my money, accessories are few and far between although they will eventually all get there.

I am really put off by the treatment of the big companies.. And this is not new either, previous Discovery went in for a lot to be fitted, After all being organised , on picking up later in the day I was informed that cargo barrier was incorrectly delivered and I would have to come back in a few weeks to get it fitted.

Turned into a bit of a rant, although I like a lot of ARB gear and will be back for more, I hate their service. Other companies (Hannibal) have been great to deal with. One of the big ticket items on the list is a roof top tent. I know who I will be going to for that.

    Cheers
    Kenley
Before you get a roof top tent, Try climbing the ladders in bare feet. Big difference between ARB & Hannibal. Very happy with mine

FFS!!!!

why is this so hard? (rant over)

do I persist with the same company or get the cheque changed again and go elsewhere if so where. can anyone reccomend someone NOR for drawer system, cargo barrier and roofracks?
dont bother they are a tin pot outfit

An aluminium roof rack is lighter hence you can put much more heavy junk on your roof, so I would go aluminium if I could afford it. Also is less top heavy so less likely to cause a roll over if you do crazy things that you shouldn't do when driving offroad.

I needed to drop my defender in to get a paint defect sorted out and spoke to the salesman who sold me the car about the problems i was having getting the accessories sorted. He then phoned the MD at TJM in o'Connor, and I went down to take a look at what accessories they had, the service was much better than i had received from ARB and Perth 4x4, they are sorting it out for me and have an account with landrover so it seems to good to be true, should have my drawers in 2 to 3 weeks, Roofrack i will pick up at the same time.
While I was there I bought a bullbar and they threw in a free snorkel, Result!!!

I thought you were after north of river places?

Would've mentioned TJM otherwise, they are quite good!

There is another ARB stockist SOR, and I've had good dealings with them also.

Glad things are on the go for you now.

You got an ARV16 towbar, the towbar you need to fit a longrange tank is an ARV12 same as previous model Defender.

Whatever the codes. They still gave me the wrong one.
I've seen all the corporate 4X4's outside their workshops. My opinion, they look after the big accounts and contracts and don't care about us (me).

All my accessories arrived yesterday, there was a 8-12 week wait on the tjm bullbar so bought a dolium fit over bumper bullbar for $500, now all I need is for me to have my vehicle back long enough for me to fit them .

with a bit of luck will get it back on friday
