Well,i have spent days trying to get the 3 digit code for the radio in a new hi-ace out of Toyota
Apparently the code was installed before the vehicle was delivered,& not recorded.
So they want me to book the vehicle in for an hour or so & charge me $70 to pull the radio out & de code it.

    They have to be joking.
They really dont give a hoot.

Umm,they never seem to return phone calls either.

Maybe they know i just bought another van from a different stealer.

What do the diesel mechs here think about the comment that all common-rail diesels are the same re injector damage? I realise the key issue is fuel contamination and the high pressures the common-rail design uses, but some makes seem to have less trouble. My brother and sister each have Peugeot diesel cars, and both have gone into limp mode after water in the fuel, but in each case the engine management system detected the water before damage.

And what's the go with 2-stroke oil?

I didnt know a lot about the 2 stroke oil thing but I read that forum on the link and now I am going to put it in next tank. It makes logical sense to me.

Toyota parts having to be on order from Japan and taking more than a month... No surprise there, definitely not uncommon. I know people who have had to wait up to 9 months for Toyota parts from Japan.

We had a D4D go onto 3 cylinders on site today,VW aren't having drama's and they have the most hi-tec motors around, the Td5's aren't bothered with Aust fuel either. Pat

Dont know how true that would be, as Land Rover dont recommend using bio-diesel in a Td5.
