G'day Brian Hjelm
We have had a whole 15mm since X'mas evebut have watched all go over towards WOODFORD
just in time for the Woodford Festival
cheers
Another 22mm in the gauge this morning, much more useful, another 50 or so over a couple of days would be nice.

Rained non stop Christmas day. Friend got 49mm.
Rained all boxing day and most of sunday.
I had to pull the pumps out again to keep the deck above water.
Most rain we have had in months.
my camping trip is off
too much rain
but a few mud runs on the farm could be on the cards
Has anyone heard from JDNSW? There is a flood watch for the Talbragar River.[/QUOTE]
Just Googled up the Talbragar River Height at Elong Elong and it's predicted to reach 3 meters tomorrow. Not sure when JD is heading home from Yass - maybe he should sit tight for a couple of days![]()
Just heard the uncle got 2inches yesterday at Warialda NNSW, just in time he finished repairing all the dams last week they were dry
Saw all the good news on ABC news.Good rains in parts of Qld and NSW. Just hope all you cockies can get your stock to safe high ground. The Castlereagh coming down was a sight for sore eyes. They did say how long it was since it flowed but I've forgotten..anybody know..It's been awhile. All we can hope for now is follow up rain once this lot sinks in..should make for a good winter..best for years and years.
Check out my recent thread on " Hanrahan " how true the writer of that old poem was , even though it was written in late 1800's
Cheers to you all,

Glen, my neighbour emptied his rain gauge after the storm last tuesday 22nd. and got into Christmas mode and forgot about it until last night. It was full to the brim, 150mm and had another 25mm at noon today. Greenslopes reporting station recorded 56mm for Christmas Day to 9.00am Boxing Day so he is probably correct. Rain has been fairly bucketing down here on and off for four days now.

Check out the rain around Dorigo and Nymboida etc, looks like a decent amount of rain falling in that area, just missing us (Woolgoolga).

Came home from the New England yesterday with heavy rain in patches. Very widespread it would seem. As we have been away for a week, I emptied the gauge this morning (4 days worth I think)......148 mm.
