agreed. my point was that you can keep your old issue plates when you update vehicles. I know of a bloke in Bundy that has black and white plates on his late model dunnydore that were first issued on his fathers Bettle and have been on a registered car in the same family since.

I have 11 sets of PP's, 2 "standard" green on whites and 9 black & white "Retro" plates, although all mine have been issued from PPQ in the last 10 or so years.

My BiL payed $40 to have standard issue green and white plates reserved for him, (initials and year of birth) but had to transfer them to PP to transfer them to another car. I have one set of PP plates but they're not in use; I should transfer them to the Disco.

A friend's police officer relative bought a new car years ago, it came with the plate PIG ???, and promptly sent back. I had a Cruiser wagon rego, PIG ***, very apt that one.
Theres a black late model Subaru WRX STI here in perth owned by a detective in the major crimes squad. the Personalised plates read "PIG STI"....... The car (and detective) and regulars on the tv show "The Force" and the car is quite well known around perth!

Back in my youth, the local Balmain Police wagon (F100) had the number plate CUN-***, it wasn't long before the letter "T" found it's way between the letters and numbers, front and rear. That "T" was on there for a long time before the law noticed.
    T'wasn't me, Regards Frank.
