Australian maps for IGO8...where would I get them

G'day Ackie,
The software we're talking about here is the Aussie maps in the street type navigation that gives you voice commands etc.

Oziexplorer is the off road, topo type, which we are also looking at putting on the unit, but that's another issue.

what version of IGO have you got, PM me and I may be able to help. I have ver 8.3.4 03/2010 map, I may have for the other versions but I think they're 2009

It has the IGO8 navigation software, but only USA,Canada,Mexico maps.

I've got the same problem. Version 8.3.2 2009.
What is the solution?

Guys seriously - BIT TORRENT! myself & others have left links & info about it before - and what it all entails is getting them for free... when they really should be bought from Igo. all I am saying is research & use the BT searchs not only for maps but up dated Igo versions!

I have set up one of the 7" chinese ebay GPS units for my father in law.

It is running IGO8 and the latest Australian mapping Sensis R17.

I Found a great Australian site explaining everything and with links to the latest software and maps.

You might have to join the forum there , but it is a legitimate site just like this one full of helpful people.

I have recently got Igo8.5 PRIMO and it shows the lanes on the motorway, 3D land marks and Text to Speach and tells you what street you turn into, i have Igo8.3 as well, but prefer the simplicity of PRIMO. images of screen shots below.
