    Moving map for ipad

Is there a product similar to oziexplorer that works on the ipad? Just had a look at their website and they are still in development for this. I am after something like that and also need to know where to buy good digital maps to go with it that show all the 4x4 tracks, etc.

    Any advise would be great.

    Cheers - Gav

Edit - what are the Memory Map maps like? Don't mind spending the money, but I don't want to end up with useless maps when I'm in the bush.

I just went through this conundrum, and finally have it all sorted out.

I went with Memory-Map,and upgraded to the 25K maps.
I already had Memory-Map on the Hema HN5i,so was conversant with how it works.Having the maps available on a larger screen is much less strain on the eyes, and so much easier to see a lot more in detail.
One thing I did find, was that to get the maps onto the iPad,I had to purchase a WiFi router,as I don't use Wifi for my computer at home, and I didn't want to connect the iPad to a network using a sim card.
Now I am just working on which iPad mounting system to run in both my Defenders.

Thanks Wayne. I've just been reading the reviews for the memory maps app, and it doesn't make good reading....

Most complaints seem to be that you can't easily load the maps onto the ipad - did you find any problems with it?

Also do the map show all the 4WD tracks, fire trails, gates, etc?

    Cheers - Gav

Oh, and let me know if you work out a decent mounting system.

Also, My ipad is only the wifi version, but I have a Bluetooth GPS that connects to it if that makes any difference to operation.

If you have WiFi for your computer, then loading the maps to the iPad via WiFi is a piece of cake.
I have both Ozi and Memory Map on my computer and on my Hema Navigator.I never use Ozi,as I have found Memory Map so much easier to use,and the standard maps are the same scale as Ozi,and seems to show the same detail.I updated to the 25K maps for NSW as that is where I do most of my driving, and I love the detail on the larger screen, and on the large computer monitor it is even better for forward planning.
I will probably update to the 25K maps for Vic and Tassie as I see fit to do so.
For my purposes, like finding those small out of the way tracks, that not everyone drives,I find Memory Map to be the best available at this stage.
As far as the mounting system is concerned,I am looking at a RAM mount, just not sure which one yet

Ok, from the app, how do you buy the 25k maps? When I go to look at available maps from the map shop, it only shows the 250k topo. The other maps it shows all see to be free, but not what I want. I'm after the 25K Vic map to start with.

Try here http://memory-map.com.au/digital-map...-victoria.html I bought the discs and downloaded from them, but I know that John RVR110 downloaded his 25K maps direct from the site, and had no problems

What I had to do,was download to my PC,and then transfer the maps to my iPad,via iTunes and the App.
