I have bought two of these units.
One arrived within two weeks and other in six weeks.
Others have had similar experiences.
Don't worry, it seems they will get there.........eventually!![]()

For everyone else the status now reads that there is a 'temporary stock shortage'.

I've now uploaded the files and instructions onto a server as a collection of compressed files. For those wanting to download them, send me a PM and I'll send you the link and password.
Hopefully this will save those having to wait for me to burn them a DVD, which as many of you know, sometimes takes some time!![]()
Well the download works. Did it this morning and picked my unit up this morning too.
Doing the install now
Thanks Ranga.
Hi all,
I, like a lot of members, am greatly appreciative of Ranga, for the excellent effort he has done and continues to do regards DealExtreme GPS units.
I used his original DVD to set up my unit. I did not change the YFAP30 folder, as I had some problems.
After using it for the last 5 months, I have come to the conclusion that I don't use a lot of the software supplied. I only want to use it as a GPS unit. I am not interested in Bluetooth, Games or FM etc.
As such, I have designed a simplified GPS Menu system.( refer to the attached pictures)
If it is of interest to anyone, I have included the files in zip format. Just unzip and copy the files to the folders as per the instructions below.
1.background.bmp to the Backgrounds folder.
2.Left.ico to the Icons folder.
3.I have included 2 Gps.ini files, one for Garmin (Garmin GPS.ini) and one for iGo 8 (iGO GPS.ini). Pick which one you need and rename it to GPS.ini, then copy it and Tools.ini to the Config folder
Please note the above mentioned folders reside in the GPS menu folder on the SD card.
Please, before you change anything remember to back up your original GPSMenu folder.
Hope this might be a help to someone.
Dave
