    Well, I'm off and running and this unit is just a little fun.

    I am having problems getting the power off button to work.

    This is the info:

    #Power Off
    ICONXPBUTTON
    x = 425
    y = 5
    NewIni= \ResidentFlash2\YFAP30\PowerOff.exe
    SizeNormal = 48
    SizePushed = 48
    ScaleAlpha = 100
    IconNormal = ..\Icons\Power-Off.ico
    ScaleAlpha = 100
    IconPushed = ..\Power-Off.ico

    Now...I have not done a firmware upgrade as I am running WinCE 6. I also have not looked into the ResidentFlash2 change as I believe that I could brick the unit if so.

    So how do I have a functional power off button?

    Try changing the path to \ResidentFlash2\YFAPP\System\PowerOff.exe or \ResidentFlash2\YFAPP\YFAPP\System\PowerOff.exe instead of \ResidentFlash2\YFAP30\PowerOff.exe

    I just took delivery of one of these 7" Tablet PC's......7" GPS UMPC Netbook, tablet. It's running Windows CE 5.

    I've managed to get iGO8 working on it no worries.

    My problem is with Oziexplorer. I have Ozi CE 1.12.0 and 1.12.3 on SD, but when I attempt to install them, I get the message...... Oziexplorer CE 1.12.0 is not a valid Windows CE application.

    Can anyone suggest what the problem might be.

    Cheers, Murray

    Thanks - but I am not sure about the devices for hacking open - lots more info on the other units unless these are in fact the very same units - but I can't prove it \ tell if they or are not the same that DX sell.

    Hi guys, I think I need some help.

    I got my first Ranga GPS back in April and managed to convert it and been working great. So great I thought I'll get the wife one. I tried to convert it like the first one but the menu system was different. I later found out it was running CE6.
    I got through most of the GPS Menu update but locked up and the unit comes up with an error. When I turn it on it comes up with the background picture with an error on it. APPLICATION ERROR. NOT FOUND APPLICATION. Please Install It From SD/MMC.

    I can't get it to go past this spot or get access the SD/MMC or any menus. I put my card out of the working GPS in but still no good. I put the card out of the faulty GPS into mine and works. I think the faulty GPS is needing a program I don't have. does anyone have any suggestions or have I bricked the GPS.

    Thats the same unit as mine & it runs CE6.

    From the info from Ranga and other sources I felt that I didn't need to do the firmware update. Ranga confirmed this.

    I have installed the different PEZ menu and all is working fine.

    Did you try and do a firmware update?
