From the link in my post:
Step 1)
When your new GPS unit arrives, it will probably have an old version of firmware on it. Before you continue onto the
next steps you must update this firmware.
I DID NOT UPDATE THE FIRMWARE
Step 2)
Now you can install my new "GPS Menu" program. This is the one that allows you to launch your multiple
pre-purchased GPS programs (like TomTom and Ozi) / WindowsCE / Games / Apps etc...
All of the instructions are in the READ ME Text file included.
Here is my GPS Menu 'Version 1.0' with a BLUE color 'theme'GPS_Menu_Pez THIS IS THE MENU I USED
------------------------------------------
Using a plain text editor like notepad open "GPS.ini" in the config folder and you will see how it works. I changed the tomtom icon and text to iGo. Icons are in the icon folder.

Sorry for the continuing questions, but this is the first time I've dabbled in changing config files.
What am I doing wrong here. I've resized the background image to 800x480 and changed the resolution in the GPS.ini as below.......................
The background changes no problem, but as you can see in this screen shot, the icons remain as they were in the smaller screen........

In the GPS.ini file the x and y values set the location of the icons and text.
Scroll down to:
# TOP BAR BUTTONS/ICONS
and change the x values. Once you figure it out is is pretty easy.
Have fun

Mike,
I've managed to organise the screen layout and I've redirected the paths for the program buttons, except for Windows CE. iGo and Ozi work fine, but when I push the Windows CE button it goes to the screen in the pic below. I tried directing it to \Nandflash\windows\explorer.exe (I added \Nandflash) but that didn't work.
What file path have you got for accessing explorer.exe on your 7" unit ?
Cheers, Murray

Yea I got that too
I have no need to run that so i don't care
I only run iGo and Ozi so all the rest I don't care about.
Sorry...
