Well, there's another project for you! With a few quick mods (including compass and rudder) it should make it. I think Zeuss might have made a kit....

I'm shaw Ive seen a hard top roof turned into a boat!! Think it may have been on scrap heap challenge or one of those shows.............
But one would have to be a very brave man to give it a go from here!! lol

As for the sea trials on the Landie ....... She's been behaving her self apart from the seized alternator, small leak in the left front hub, clutch adjustment and hand brake adjustment......... I'm pretty happy with what Ive ended up with! Still got a smile on me face!

Ive now done just over 200 miles in two weeks [pretty good for over here] Mind you Ive found it "Ruddy Hard" to stay out of her!! [can't work out why?]

Yep, I am sure those little niggles will get ironed out. It must be fun having it back together to enjoy driving it. A bit of tweaking here and there to shoo away the gremlins and you're off.

    In Praise of a Kiwi

    Hi all
As a few on the Aulro site know I have never sung the Holden engine shoe-in a Landy song.
Well last week I meet Neil and his family on Norfolk Island, and was warmly greeted and shown around.
He has a very nice Landy that drives well and looks better in real life than the photos in his story show.
I am a little like a stuck record in the same grove, he showed me several wrecks all with Holden donks, do wonder what happened to their 2 1/4 power plants.
If you who love a landy with a Holden want to go to a wonderful laid back place and spend time having a a beer with a Chap who loves talking Land Rovers please take the time and trouble and go and visit Neil, one of nature's gentlemen.
    Yours
    Ian (back_in)
