New Map flashed to my ECU

Got my new EMS map from BBS this morning, very fast service seeing as I only ordered it on Sunday.

Was it difficult to load?? No, it was dead easy, I just followed the procedure through the flash file loader and Vehicl Exporer software during my lunch break, (couldn't wait!) took about 5 minutes and was finished. I hadn't looked at the procedure prior to this so it was so easy. After the mandatory 2 operations of the ignition key I had grandpa nap for 30 minutes and started it up, no problems, goes like a rocket now!

Acceleration is close to instantaneous, the torque has improved markedly which makes the D3 very fast off the mark, (I use the torque not the accelerator pedal), turbo lag is there but very little compared to before and my economy has bettered by around 3.5 MPG although it is early days yet.

All in all a I am very happy with the result

How would this effect your warranty and do you have any power / torque gain figures? How much did it cost and where did you get it from? I had Ritter in Melbourne do a re-map on my 2008 D3 and the improvement was great. Just didnt let ULR Landrover know. I now have the 3.0Lt D4 and dont think that it needs it............for the moment. Maybe down the track when I feel like adding something extra to it.

The beauty of the BBS system is that I can reflash my ECU with the original map and flash the upgrade whenever I want with the Faultmate.
Cost was just under $600, power up about 30Kw and torque up about 88 kN.

Bought from Backbox Solutions for my Fautmate diagnostic system

How did you measure the mpg increase? Are you trusting the on board computer or doing the math manualy?

At the moment just the On Board Computer, when I next fill the tank I will get a more accurate reading.

I've got the Faultmate MSV2 extreme, my opinion is it is the best for me as it has stand alone mode for fault clearing.
I got it from BBS (which are now in Cyprus) through the internet.

I am finding it more and more useful as they update the software, there is not much it can't do that I need. For the remote traveling we do at times I expect it to be very valuable

Hi RichardK, do you have a D4 or D3?
