    KIDS! AAAAUUUGH!

So we have the RSE/DVD fitted & one of the boys has managed to snap off the tip of the head phone plug in the bottom of the head phone socket in the rear most seating position.
The question is can I get this out myself? Has anyone pulled/popped the socket or panel out & how difficult is it?
    Or
Do I just wait until I'm in the "Smoke" & pay Land Rover to fix or replace it?
Just to be more annoying the little bu99er has wreaked a $25.00 set of Harman/Kardon head phones.
I have somewhere a couple of double adapters for these plugs to cover for the short term but I would like to let the lad watch DVD's without sound to teach him a lesson.
Unfortunately the Missus would see this as a cruel & unusual punishment.

If you want to get inventive, when i was working in the mines we used to break axels quite often, when they snapped off inside the housing we would use a welding rod and weld onto the broken section, then slowly remove/pull it out.

In your case i wouldn't recommend a welder lol, but a small soldiering iron could do the trick, soldier a paper clip or small nail onto the snapped off headphone jack and try pulling it out, might work.

Fantastic idea, but perhaps a miniscule amount of super glue sparingly and carefully applied - will at least keep heat away from the system.
