If you don't mind me asking where in Mackay did you get yours from. I'm also in Mackay and am looking to fit some GG's.

I have been considering replacement tyres for the Wranglers that are on my D4 and thought that the GG ATs would be a good all-round tyre however yesterday I head from Cooper that

"that Cooper USA is currently in production on the Cooper LTZ and AT-3 in 19”inch sizes. The exact tyre sizes that will be coming to Australia have yet to be confirmed but we are expecting our first shipment of 19”inch tyres sometime early in the new year."

With the AT-3 having an LT construction and having stronger side walls they will be well worth a look (depending on the sizes that will be available).

    Regards

    Lou

    Grabber AT 19 inch

Have just fitted set of 19" AT Grabbers to my 2010 RR Sport , great, quiet and no vibrations. Got them from Lance Dixon Land rover in Doncaster Vic, they have plenty in stock at $330.00 each. Std tyres after only 22000 k were causing vibrations in car. Perfect now. Spoke to a Disco 4 driver with same grabbers who had just done 12000 k trip, all in the bush, no problems and he was rapt in them !!!

My local tyre dealer said that the AT-3 are quite a harsh ride, but strong.

From my search for LT-rated tyres, it would be a first for any tyre manufacturer to produce a tyre with a sidewall anywhere nearly as short as that on a 255/55-19. Many manufacturers have produced P-rated tyres with the same named pattern as their LT-rated tyres but the carcases and even the pattern can be quite different.

The smallest Cooper AT3 in an 18" size is 275/65R18, so I'd imagine a 19" AT3, if it eventuated, would be aimed at a similar market, ie large American "trucks".

    Cheers,

Just grabbed a rare bargain on fleabay, set of 4 brand new 19" Pirelli ATR's for £550 delivered. Considering I was looking at the thick end of £800 for a set, I'm chuffed to bits. They'll be going on the week before the car leaves these shores for Aus
