D3s don't mark their territory any more.

MY06 'S' model changed to all leather but then changed back to cloth for the MY08 when the air came in. If I am wrong sniegy will let you know.

God help me if I ever get stuck!

I had a similar chat to a good mate who also owned and still does Toyotas.
Their current one which is almost new is on its 3rd V8 now.
First one was changed out 2 weeks after they took delivery and 2nd donk was put in 3 months ago.
They do not repair just replace apparently.

He always gave me flack for owning Landy's, strangely, he is all quiet atm.

Mid last year, Darwin had 17 LC200 TD's with blown motors, mainly due to overheating. Most of these vehicles were pulling vans etc.
This was one of the reasons I went for the Disco. The more you drive the Disco, the more you like it

    Disco 3 S Model

Hi. I have a Disco 3 s Model with coil springs. I have had the spring and shocks replaced with Dobinsons 60mm lift. The difference is amazing. I also fitted a Scangauge and all the data required is at your finger tips. I have travelled 145,000 kms, including Strezlecki and Birdsville and NQ gulf country. All without a hitch. My wife tells me we would not travel in any other car. She loves it more than our D1. The smoothest and most comfortable bush traveller and reliable.

    Hi all,

Thanks to everyone for your input. I have worked out a deal with local LR dealer, and on Friday I take delivery of a used D 3 S. Talltales I'm interested in a bit more info on the scangauge, I tried search funtion but theres not a lot of info there regarding D 3.
How hard was it to fit..........and where is the electrical/data connection on the D 3.

PS my wife works out bush and does an incredible amount of kms on our rubbish/badly maintained NT roads, she has a new Prado (work car) and feels like shes been dragged through the bush backwards after each trip.
Maybe NT Gov should consider D4s.

I'm looking forward to getting out bush on the weekend and giving the D3 a good workout..................I'll let you know how it goes.

    Regards to all Jim.

    scangauge

    Hello Jim

I ordered my scangauge from the distributors www.ample-outdoors.com.au in Lithgow. The OBDII port is on the drivers side under the dash. You just plug in and mount the cable behind the flip down panel and I mounted the scangauge with the velcro on the steering wheel binicle right in from of me. You can still see the warning lights and the gauge comes with a rear mount and side mount network cable plugs. Follow the instructions and set up for your car and it works great. I asked the guys at Ample-Outdoors if they had fitted any to a D3 and I was the first. I have had it for 2 and a half years now.
