    Hi All,
I must say that the Scangauge is a "poor cousin" in diagnostics for the D3/D4/RRS. Much better solutions can be found at Black Box Solutions.

Depending on your requirements check out BBS's "FCR" (Fault Code Reader & Reset) or their "MSV-2" for more complex adjustments.

    Peter

    Scangauge

That may be so bushwanderer but the scangauge does give you continuous readout of a choice of 12 data readouts with four on screen all the time. I use it like a car trip computer rather than a fault finder and code clearer. $200 in the S Model as opposed to $10000 extra for the trip computer in the SE model is good value.

    Hi all,

Picking up my D3 Coiler today, I can't wait to get out and play. We have some fairly demanding 4WD tracks close to home, that challenge most of the vehicles I've seen out there. My D1 carries plenty of battle scars from that area. I wonder how the wife will feel when it gets its first scratch?

Mark, with the scangauge fitted do you have to recalibrate every time you fill up, or does it talk to the sender unit in the fuel tank?

PS I'm sure I saw a tear in my D1s eye..............I think she knows somethings going on!

    Regards to all Jim.

    Scangauge

Most times I am within 1-2% so a little adjustment is easy to do because when you enter the data the adjustment controls are on the same screen. When you fill up you check and enter fuel amount first then cost /ltr. Once saved this resets the computer for the next tank. I must say since BP have changed to the New Ultimate diesel the frothing is less and you can get amore acurate and consistant tank fill, this helps with the calibtation.

    Hi talltales,
Thanks for clarifying your application of the Scangauge. However, my view hasn't changed.

    Best Wishes,
    Peter
