Ok so its back... Sorry no pic's yet.

There is one minor issue after the install... The gauge in the fuel switch doesn't work they are getting a new switch to see if that fixes the problem.

Fuel transfer rate...! ok so maybe my old aircraft tech background is the main problem here but the transfer rate is a lot lower than I expected. That said the transfer rate looks like it will ok.

I will also reserve judgement on the filler neck until I put some fuel in.

The Kaymar bar is a nice pice of kit... The fit on the forward sections has a fairly wide gap I was expecting something a little closer to the factory bumper fit.

    Thats a toy helicopter.

This is where the real helicopters start. This was in the days when the RAAF owned the Iroquois...

I have the LongRanger and I think the transfer rate is awfully slow too. Sometimes you wonder if it will ever catch up when travelling into a headwind, traversing dunes and it wont catch up.
There are at least four pumps that can be used made by Facet and have found that the Facet 40107 is the highest flow rate of the type fitted.
Have tried to get information from LongRanger as to which part No is fitted as standard but no reply yet, it's only been five weeks since their automated reply said they will get back to me as I wanted to purchase a spare pump to carry.
It pays to get a spare 3/8 fuel filter to carry as fitted because I found that servos don't carry them (here in the west anyway) and I think that it had to filter all the gunk from the tank manufacturing first time around although my car filter only lasted 45k kms too purchasing diesel in remote towns around Oz so I carry one of them too ($120 for a LandRover fuel filter bought at Perth Dealer!).
Pump and filter very easy to replace in the field on the LongRanger.
It is a great feeling bypassing the roadhouses.

Is the Long Ranger tank an auxiliary tank or does it replace the main tank?

With about 20min driving I went from very empty to 3/4.

Thanks for the tip on the filters.

The Long Ranger tank is an auxiliary tank of about 110 litres.
You will need a wheel carrier (or on the roof rack if your a tall muscley bugger) as it goes where your spare is/was.
The filler neck can handle high flow nozzles even when left on the "clicker" while you clean your windscreen.

More info here... It becomes very expensive when you need to add a spare carrier. There are cheaper options than the Kaymar.
