D3 or D4? Maybe new ARB is different or the D4 lights are different?

ARB seem to be missing the plot with the design of their bars - there is the issue of not being able to remove the D3 lights without removing the bar - what about installing the D3 fog lamps in the bar??

Both of my brothers have bought new Toyotas in the last month - one a Cruiser TDV8 Ute (sounds awesome with 3" exhaust) and the other a HiLux 3.0 TD. Both got stung when getting their ARB bars fitted as the original fog lamps would not fit the bar and they had to buy the ARB versions for another $150 plus fitting.

Doesn't seem like good design to me.

I have a question regarding driving characteristics.

My mate put an ARB bar on his 150 series Prado and says the front end now feels really heavy. Does the D4 feel the same or is the bar not that noticeable?

    Hi Brad72,
Did not notice any difference whatsoever when the bar was put on, whether it be going hard into a corner or stopping etc.
Because you cannot see it at all from the drivers seat, also makes you forget it is on.
Your mate that has the Prado doesn't have the self levelling air suspension which makes a hell of a difference.

    Cheers, Craig

    Hi Brad,
I can't answer specifically for the D4, but on my D3 (with coils ) there was NO change in behaviour once the ARB bar was fitted.

    Best Wishes,
    Peter

No noticeable change in D4 handling characteristics with ARB steel bar & winch.
