Ramps not rated nor designed to take both car and trailer.
For small boats only (RIBs are pretty light)
The lower section of the ramp is plastic grading...
Was still much much quicker than the 15 boats waiting for the public boat ramp. Sometimes takes an hour to load the trailer!
The Commodore actually walked up to us and checked to make sure we weren't going to use the car while we were lining up the trailer!
"Oh so you've got your own winching device " he said bahaha he thought he had us for sure.
Wheres the fish?????
My boat hasn't moved for 3 years, its 3 years since Deb had here stroke. She wont go out on it any more.

After reading how others found it difficult not to get stuck in sand, I thought I'd give it a go :)

After a few goes, my procedure was:
- Sand Mode, low range, dsc off (ie normal in soft sand)
- Find a soft patch of sand, relatively level
- Went too slow in-order to get stuck.
- Spun wheels
- Raised Car to emergency height
- Spun wheels to get even more stuck
- Changed to rock crawl, low range, dsc off, reverse out.
It failed.
All I did then was used a shovel to remove some sand from behind the wheels and I drove right out.
If I did not do the Raise and floor it step, I always just drove out (after raising to emergency height).
Tyres were at 16psi for all attempts.
Pretty impressed overall, except for the maxtrax sitting there still without a single use.
