A decent 5,500 kms road trip: Sydney, through the Flinders, Simpson and return
1 Picture on top of Big Red, the other at a glorious sunset...
G'day all. My first post.
Just picked up my first ever Land Rover. 2009 D3. Loving it and cant wait to get it dirty.
Hoping it also likes towing the Jayco out in to the bush as well. Just need to look in to the hundreds of different views on tow set up for these so let the research begin!!!

Congratulations! Welcome to the forum! Looks very nice and I am sure you're going to love it.
You're totally right about the hundreds of different views. ;) One thing to make sure you look at if you find the towbar attachment point is too low, or interferes with removal of the spare is the "Mitch Hitch", and you can find plenty of posts about it on this forum.
Took these around at my young bloke's place the other day. He has just bought the Amarok and the D2 is about to be put up for sale.
The D4 will not be getting replaced for a long time though as things stand today. It's doing everything we want it to without any issues. Currently planning the next trip across to Tassie for my mum's 80th birthday early in the new year. :D

You don't really realize how bloody big the Amarok is until you park it next to a couple of other "large" vehicles that you're more familiar with. It's bloody huge ................. and a nice ride. ;)

Welcome to the forum. Nice looking vehicle. Don't want to frighten you but as yours is a 2009 and your new to the forum and most likely discos, check out this thread, post #21. http://www.aulro.com/afvb/d3-d4-rrs/...-one-us-3.html Bloody great vehicles, but I probably wouldn't have bought one if it weren't for such a great forum as this. Research away and get to know your vehicle and keep the permagrin alive!
