Happy Christmas!
Enjoy
Nice trailer setup, what rims are you using on the D3?
Thanks, the trailer's an Adventure Off-road. Not sure what the brand the rims are, they came with the car when I bought it. I'll have a look when I get home (in Kalgoorlie for Christmas) all I know is that they are steel :).
Probably find that they are Dynamic Steel Rims on the D3.
17" X 8".
I bought five of them to go on my trailer when I had my D3.
They are still on Dynamic Tyres website.
I believe they are heavy duty ford hubs drilled out for bigger studs.
Trailer manufacturer supplied them to fit wheels which I supplied.
I suspect the hubs were Commodore pattern/pcd - 5x120mm.
Will be commodore they match the Landy pcd, ford are a different PCD.Pre VE commodore one would have to drill out the hubs and fit 14mm studs to suit the D2/D3 wheel rim.VE onwards commodore now run 14mm studs.
The confusion may be in your bearing type;););););)Ford are the larger stronger bearings.
My DIY camper trailer has custom made hubs by Martins Trailer Parts.D2(same as D3/D4) 14mm studs, electric trailer brakes, ford HD bearings and a 2 tonne axle matched to my old D2's track.
Its due to get dragged out of the shed anytime now, just doing a few small jobs before it gets its maiden fishing trip testout.Should inspire me to finish building it:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool:

I stand corrected.
Could not remember if they were ford or holden.
I know they are on a very heavy tandem set to get the necessary clearance for the large diameter wheels (for a trailer).
Trailer weighs 700 kg empty.
