A recent trip to the LR show in Blinman. Stoped somewhere scenic on the way.

This is good advice. I did not know about the auto-disengage function, handy if someone forgets to release the HB, but clearly not an alternative to releasing the brake correctly (wear on HB shoes and mechanism would soon throw it out of adjustment), as you say.
    Noted!

    Thank you!

It is highly advisable to actually sit down and RTM for these cars.

Also, there’s a few bits people after years didn’t know. Like rear cup holders in centre console - amazing how many didn’t know they exist!

This is a great site, people are more than happy to assist; please use the search function at the bottom of the page first though before starting a new thread (almost everything has been answered before)

Hi Mike. I can't find my rear cup holders. Any clues?
    Cheers, Billy.

Bottom rear of the center console there is a tray with 2 cup holders, may need to give it a good yank as they can get stuck in there.

That's where the subwoofer is in a Defender. Could use it as a bucket holder I suppose.
    Cheers, Billy.

After just two weeks in the car, I can see what you mean. There seem to be endless features. I had a RTM after work in the carpark the other day and when I looked up, it was dark (!) - I had barely got through half a section of the OM and realised there is just so much to the car. F@rk knows how I would explain even half of it to the missus - but I get a feeling she'll be explaining it to me. I'll be fussing over whether it's in Hi or Lo range, if the CDL is engaged, if descent control is operating or if it has an e-diff (still haven't had time to look) and she'll just say "It's set for 'mountain' and there's a cactus, so we're fine". That's probably the right way to drive a modern LR I guess.

    I'm Back!

    Hi all,
Remember me, I had a D3 for many years and sold it about 6 years ago to go back once again to a Toyota!
Anyway I've missed the air suspension, comfort and quiet so I've just bought a 2014 SDV6 HSE.
My first mod will be LLAMS, a must have in my book.
Next Compressor guard and under body protection.
Also IIDTool is in the post!

Refit my drawer system and lithium battery setup, roof platform etc etc etc!

    Cheers ~Rich~

You’ll enjoy - and won’t be worrying about CDL.

Modern worry is Low Range and DSC off each time you restart!
