Go read almost any Australian motoring magazine from the late 60s early 70s and you will see the term DIN and SAE used when they talk about horsepower.
DIN ? Hardly !!! Thats the German rating
Deutsches Institut für Normung 70020
DIN 70020 is a standard from Germany word for horsepower is Pferdestärke, in Germany it is commonly abbreviated to PS. DIN hp is measured at the engine's output shaft, and is usually expressed in metric(Pferdestärke) rather than mechanical horsepower.
What your actually on about is the difference between Metric Horsepower and Mechanical Horsepower.
Now, whats more like it is that Landrover has declared in SAE Nett instead of Gross
(By the way , the yanks certainly didnt use DIN numbers in the 70;s or any other time)
Im afraid I can not find out under what Standard , be it SAE,DIN,JAP,Euro that Landrover used to come up with those numbers of 600NM and 180KW. Ill keep diggin!!!

Well Chip It Folk, I see you found the site.
I haven't fitted mine yet. I'm looking for some pics of an install, so if anyone here has fitted one, I'd love to see how you did it. I'm intersting in cable routing, where you picked up the power, did you fit the toggle switch etc and of course have you changed maps?
Cheers
Bob
ChipIt, Can you send the photos from my install?
I haven't got a working camera at the moment.

Where did they place the chip module?
I'll be installing mine tomorrow and I'm looking for a good spot to hide that's protected.
Cheers
Bob
