Yes, if Lilydale is close to you I suggest going to see them. Andrew has a tonne of experience installing and tuning chips on diesels.
If you wish to install yourself, that's fine too.

    Cheers

Can you explain to me the Dyno test between the Stienbaur/chip-it and standard Disco 3

It says the std Disco 3 has 822.9 Nm of torque or am I reading it wrong??

As far as I'm aware the 2.7 TDV6 only has 440Nm.

    Baz.
    Cheers Baz.

Interesting to know what it does cost for a 2.7 as for price it may be more than a re-map with a module?

I cannot see any advantage over a re-map.

According to the Chip-it website, it's $1299 for the Chip with an EGT monitor and $899 for the standard Chip.

These are the figures of a supposed 10% increase in power

    Scroll down for the prices

Bluefin module where you can put it on and off is 455 UK pounds:

    http://www.mybluefin.co.uk/search'ma...73&variant=212

    Gives simailar results:

Cannot see the point in adding on a module especially if under warranty and it needs to come off sometimes.

So those are HP and ft lbs not Nm and Kw in that Chip-it graph

Those tests were on a D4 3 litre , NOT a 2.7 D3 or D4. The Torque is useless junk and refers to "Tractive effort" So standard is 600nm on a D4 3L and they claim 822, so thats 222nm more So take the 933 and remove the 222 and you get 711 ,thats more like it .Now as for HP or Power ,that changes to HPM , whatever that is , and it goes from 194 to 247 or an increase of 25% , So, disregarding the silly numbers , (silly considered 180kw is 244Hp standard anyway)torque increased 20% and power 25% over whatever they started with.
For that money Id rather go the remap solution !!!

    Not according to the website, quote from the website;

[These next two dyno runs on a Discover 3 show the Chip It Power Module versus standard tune and the Steinbauyer Module.
The Chip It Module shows a 10% increase in power and we acheive this a better air fuel ratio thus saving fuel.]
    Cheers Baz.
