Babs, it looks great, I also want to fit Runva 11XP 12V Dyneema BLACK Premium Edition. What is your model? Might get ARB fit in for me.

They fitted a Runva 11,000lbs winch and sunk the controller down inside so now the cover plate can't be fitted, it's half below and half above the bar. I would have thought the controller would be fitted on top of the cover plate, they are telling me this is normal fitting as you need to see what is happening with the winch and rope.

What are your thoughts on this, are people using the cover plate and installing controller box on top or leaving cover plate off. ❓

I got to reminder ARB to fit control box above the cover plate, I believe there is another plate for under the bar.

Not sure about an easy afternoon; I'm into my fourth day, well partial days. Would help if I didn't have to keep going back to ARB each day to get the bits they missed. Probably only two to three hours a day of actual steady work, but a lot of stuffing around to get it right... OK perfect.. I just can't help myself. You know, measure twice...; do it once...blah blah. If you had someone to help and all the right bits, I reckon you would do it in a sunny day easy. ARB quote six to fit the bar, no winch etc.

I've mounted my Runva 11XP solenoid box to the plate below, but am going to change it tonight to mount on the cover plate. The angle bracket supplied needs to be bent closed a little to allow the hand piece to plug in. It leaves a massive gap around the box and I don't like it. I'll have to cut the rear out of the cover plate to allow for cabling but I think I'll like the finished look better.

Hugh I haven't noticed any changes, it still felt the same smooooth as :)

Quick update, just realised if you mount the solenoid box on top of the cover plate you don't have access to the free spool handle on the winch. :O Cheers, Babs :D
