D4 Landrover Bull Bar - latest news

Mine was fitted over the last two days.

I'm going to put some door seal foam the one with the sticky back, in those gaps on the side, I'm pretty sure Bunnings has it in white as well.


They fitted a Runva 11,000lbs winch and sunk the controller down inside so now the cover plate can't be fitted, it's half below and half above the bar. I would have thought the controller would be fitted on top of the cover plate, they are telling me this is normal fitting as you need to see what is happening with the winch and rope.

What are your thoughts on this, are people using the cover plate and installing controller box on top or leaving cover plate off. ❓

Babs, is that the Summit Bar?? Mine differs from that... The top on mine is not level and the gussets on the verticals are not continuos.

My winch controller sits just below the level of the cover plate, so I intend to fit it and have it hinged. Will post a pic once it's done.

Bit disappointing that your controller sticks up...but it seems to me that what you end up with from ARB is a bit of a lottery. They are fitting these things everyday so they really should know what's possible and what's not and discuss it with you rather than just do what suits them.

Hi, I just showed ARB your picture if my bull bar FUJI White will be the same, they said they fit yours. Are you happy with their work? Did you pay for ARB fog light kits? I also tried to get them to fit a 3rd party Winch, prefer Runva winch with limited lift time warranty. Did you get the winch cover plate since you didn't have one. Next on my list will be driving light, light bar and roof rack.

Bill yes that's the Summit Bar.

I'm picking the Discovery up within the hour and I'll take some more photos.

ARB did not fit mine, I had an independent do the work.

You lot need to get in touch with your vehicles!!!

Fit it yourselves. Saves a packet and an easy afternoon on the driveway will see it done.

Think i like the controller box better on top. Minor detail though. Suppose some people prefer it more hidden down low...
