Congratulations on the choice. I'm sure you will not be disappointed. Waiting for 3months though! I'm not sure if I could.
Matt.
After all tha advice from this forum, and after the test drive I have decided on the 3 litre D4.
Green oval experience can import 18 inch rims to fit, plus Gordon also convinced me that even on the 19s I will go as far if not further then my 2 inch lifted Patrol.
I have gone with the bizenon lights, real locker, mud flaps, floor mats, and the 2012 model which has electric front seats with arm rests.
Starting price was about 96k on the road and it's has come down to 88k on the road. Land Rover seem pretty keen to move them.
I have started my list of goodies and will have ready for it's arrival in about 3 months.
This forum and it's members are the best I have come across.
Thanks for your help.

What model did you buy i.e SE or HSE
How did you find out about electric seats & arm rests?
Do you know of any other changes to the 2012 model.
Regards
Chuck
Interesting post, I was also in at one of the Perth dealers today getting a test drive of D4.
From the price you mention, ~96k recommended retail price / 88k drive away, I assume you’re talking about the SE model. The current SE model, at least the one I was being shown, has manual front seats. There was no mention of what you say appears to be an interior equipment upgrade just around the corner during my conversation today.
I wonder if I'm being steered towards clearing existing stock? The drive away price being offered on existing stock for very similar specs - 3.0l, leather, rear locker plus Bi Xenon lights was only marginally less at 86k.
If it is a stock clearance pending a spec upgrade I don't necessarily mind provided it is priced accordingly but I would like full disclosure so I have an option to choose one or the other if I want it.
Can I ask what dealer you have dealt with?
2024 RRS on the road
2011 D4 3.0 in the drive way
1999 D2 V8, in heaven
1984 RRC, in hell
Electric seats and the arm rest is a great option. Wish that was on offer when i bought, my only gripe with the car!
My SE was $92k and for that I received the reverse camera, sat nav, side steps, mud flaps, rubber mats and came with 5 MTR's.
Enjoy the purchase

Dorko,
From what I hear, the arm rests are a pain as they squash you in too much.
The leci seats would be good though, especially when the 5ft nothing wife has been driving and it my turn to drive.
Cheers, Craig
In all seriousness if you have ever driven a Disco of any model with electric seats and arm rests you would struggle to buy one without, they seriously improve the driving experience especially if your driving long distances.
As for squashing you in I'm guessing a salesman told you that bollocks.
At well over 300 lb I could not be described as being close to average in size and I can tell you that my arm rests do not squeeze me in.
cheers,
Terry
