Ah nevermind.. my aunty who is currently borrowing it put a gutfull of petrol in it.. hopefully no damage.. the guy with her on the phone had a quick look underneath and coudn't see any easy way to drain it so hopefully its not a mission...
Any ideas?
Wondering whether its the immobiliser or something... seems to have plenty battery power...

oh dear. good luck sorting that out. Was it run with the petrol in, and then stop? or did it just refuse to start....
I don't really know much about D3's but that doesnt sound good atall.
The TD5 gets very upset if that happens, let alone I would imagine the TDV6.
I wouldn't even consider trying to start it again without seeking advice from a knowedgable specialist.
Hope your Aunty has plenty of spare pocket money
Last "petrol" fueled TDV6 I saw required a minimum of a complete new Fuel system. The one prior to that required rebuild...
She's looking at between $6000-$17,000

Make sure you buy a mis-fuelling device when it comes back fixed.
I paid $55 for mine. Although it is only a D1, I sometimes have no choice but to lend the car to people I have no confidence in whatsoever. It installs easily and although I've never needed to can be easily removed to use a hi-flow nozzle or one that otherwise doesnt fit.
if it wont start and was driven for more then 2 mins on that mix,, it will need a fuel sys replacement,
and a tdv6 rebuild from pet in desel??? the fuel pump will kill the injectors ( like it has happend in this case) b4 the engine will fail internaly
wev had countless 99.99% petrols in desel run till they stop and dont need a rebuild
just think your self luck you dont own a tdv8the most resent case was 21.1k
I'm scared to death of my wife or family member doing this to ours, so I feel for you!
