    2012 D4

Check out the new D4. Where did the gear shift and terrain response dial go?

Having never seen one before at first I thought it had a third seat in the middle.. maybe not. I don't mind the netting in the rear cargo area for holding stuff but stuff=rattles & i hate rattles. I see its got that same stereo ....

Here was i thinking that the 2011 centre console ergonomics were bad. 2012 is worse

I don't think Australia is getting the 2012 interior shown in those pictures. The Australian 2012 model is pretty much same as the 2011 model expect for electric seats, ipod port and colour centre screen as standard now.

But I suppose that interior will reach here eventually.

It looks like they nicked the transmission control idea from a Jag....I think that has been mentioned here in another thread...as in that was the predicted way ahead. I think it ties in with steering wheel controls. Not sure how it all comes together but I guess it must.

Isn't it running 19" Perelli Zeros.....?

Must have flappy-paddle behind the steering wheel? Only way to have manual/auto.

Personally don't think the ergonomics are any better or any worse between my D3 or my D4.. The d4 is however much improved on the already excellent D3.
Be interesting to see how reliable it is.. So far D4 (9 months in) miles ahead of my D3.
Re the 2012 model when I asked my dealer he said that we won't get the 8 speed gearbox for sometime so maybe we won't get the new gear selector etc..8 speed fitted in Europe for new Euro emissions standards.

Seems like they've tweaked the 3.0l engine for more power, added an ZF 8HP70 8 speed box with flappy paddles and changed the interior styling quite a bit. tTey also offer 5 spoke 20" wheels on the HSE. Don't think they'll be too much good in the sand though
